NOma is the brainchild of the cultural association "sulle nostre gambe" and is dedicated to commemorating the individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice in the battle against the mafia. The NOma app serves as a guide for locals, tourists, and individuals of all ages, leading them through the streets of Palermo and its surroundings to the locations where mafia-related incidents, which shook Italy from the 1970s onward, occurred.

With the goal of equipping a new generation with knowledge to combat a persistent menace that persists despite significant advancements in recent years, NOma offers a commendable resource. This ongoing threat continues to manifest in increasingly subtle forms within our society.

Each narrative recounted on NOma is enriched with historical documents, digital animations, biographical accounts, videos, period imagery, and interviews with families, featuring voices such as Pif and numerous other artists.

The application further presents curated routes designed to introduce users to the work of "Addiopizzo," an grassroots movement initiated by a group of young individuals committed to challenging the Mafia by promoting an ethical economic system free from mafia influence through the practice of "critical consumption Addiopizzo".
